Abiola Oke is an African entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Publisher of OkayAfrica, founded in 2011, the leading media company of its kind connecting a global audience to Africa.
As CEO, Abiola has shepherded the company’s rapid audience growth and business. OkayAfrica now has offices in New York, Lagos, Johannesburg, and London.
Abiola began his career in the financial services industry holding various senior-level positions at Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and Barclays.
As a passionate activist and humanitarian, Abiola serves on the board of MoCADA (Museum of Contemporary Diaspora Arts), FACE Africa, an ambassador of the Monrovia Football Academy. He mentors students for the Student Sponsor Partners.
He is a noted speaker on topics related to media, technology, music, culture, social justice. He’s spoken at Oxford Africa Conference, Haiti TECH Conference, World Bank IFC Sustainability Exchange and In 2015 UNICEF’s inaugural Global Innovations for Children and Youth Summit in Helsinki, Finland to name a few.
