Denise Vidal-Candengue is the Diversity and Inclusion G20 Youth Delegate, currently studying Politics and Sociology at the University of Warwick. Renowned for her dedication to social justice, Denise has made significant strides in advocating for systemic change in education.
Her work with the Fair Education Alliance, along with her research and consulting experience within local government, has provided her with a deep understanding of educational inequities. These experiences have honed her analytical skills and solidified her commitment to addressing disparities in education.
As the Welfare Officer for Prosper Warwick, Denise has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting student welfare, with a particular focus on empowering Black students to break the glass ceiling. This leadership, combined with her broader advocacy work, has equipped her with a unique perspective, which she brings to her role at the Y20 Summit.
Denise collaborates with fellow young leaders and government officials to explore and champion policies that promote fair education, youth democracy, and diversity on a global stage.
Her goal is to foster a more equitable world, beginning with transformative changes in the education sector.
