Efosa Obano (KC) is a dedicated leader at the forefront of supporting and empowering Black entrepreneurs and innovators across Africa and beyond.
As the founder and manager of the Black Founders Network, he provides crucial support through capital, community, and capacity building, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for Black entrepreneurs to thrive.
Additionally, Efosa spearheads the African Impact Initiative, which focuses on investing in early-stage African innovators, driving forward progress and innovation on the continent.
His expertise in leveraging technology for social impact, combined with his experience in impact investing and building early-stage ventures, has earned him recognition from prestigious institutions such as the UN and the Ontario Minister’s Award of Excellence.
Prior to his current ventures, Efosa played a pivotal role at Dell Technologies Canada, where he led teams guiding startups through their digital transformation journeys.
He also led community outreach efforts for Dell Canada’s Social Impact Team and Black Networking Alliance, earning him Dell’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award for his contributions.
With a strategic management degree from the University of Toronto and accolades such as the Young Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement, Efosa is committed to using his skills and expertise to serve others and make a positive impact in the world.
