Rami El Dokany boasts over two decades of professional expertise in capital markets, private equity, investments, corporate finance, strategic planning, and business development.

In August 2022, El Dokany was appointed as the Executive Chairman of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX), a role he held until August 2023.

His extensive experience is complemented by a robust educational background from leading local and international institutions.

Previously, in 2019, he assumed the position of Secretary General of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM), where he spearheaded efforts to unify the vision for Arab capital markets. The AFCM represents more than 24 Arab exchanges and clearing houses, alongside numerous prominent brokerage firms across the region.

During his tenure as Secretary General of the AFCM, El Dokany implemented a strategic restructuring program that fostered greater inclusivity among its members, upheld governance best practices, and established a sustainable growth trajectory for the federation. Under his leadership, the AFCM’s revenues surged from US$ 177k in 2019 to over US$ 690k by the conclusion of 2023.
