William Awomoyi is the UK’s Young Ambassador to the Commonwealth, an Advisor to the AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council, and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
Through his impactful contributions to the community, he has received several prestigious accolades, including the Bromley Rotary Award, SMK Young Campaigner of the Year, Rare Rising Star, and the Diana Award.
A seasoned strategist, policymaker, and consultant, William graduated from St John’s College, Cambridge University.
He has offered his expertise worldwide, including at the East African Community (EAC) HQ in Tanzania, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Rwanda, and the Federal Palace of Switzerland.
He has also worked with the International Trade Centre on SME market activation across Eastern and Northern Africa and is a member of Chatham House’s Common Future Conversations cohort.
In addition to his television appearances on BBC News Channel for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the King’s Coronation, William has chaired the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs at the Houses of Parliament. He has delivered keynote speeches at prominent venues such as the Barbican Centre and the Welsh Temple of Peace, among others.
