Since 2016, Mardenborough has been a prominent figure in the Japanese racing scene, competing in the esteemed Super GT and Super Formula championships. Notable achievements include securing a race win and contending for titles in the GT300 class of Super GT in 2016, alongside a runner-up finish in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship.
His move to the top GT500 class in 2017 marked a significant milestone, where he consistently challenged for victories and earned a podium finish. Additionally, Mardenborough’s stint in Super Formula yielded a pole position in 2017.
Recognized for his exceptional talent and marketability, Mardenborough was named one of the 50 most marketable athletes in the world by Sports Pro Media in 2015.
