Kola Oyeneyin is a Nigerian Entrepreneur and Activist. He is the founder and CEO of Venia Group, a venture creation and development company, recognised by the London Stock Exchange.
Kola was a Business Analyst at Hewlett-Packard for 3 years in the United Kingdom before joining Lekki British School as the Business Manager. In January 2011, Kola founded Venia Group, a venture creation and development company, whose subsidiaries; Venia Business Hub, provides serviced offices and co-working spaces for Startups and SMEs in Nigeria, and AutoGenius, is Nigeria’s first digital insurance platform.
The Vice President of Nigeria appointed Kola Oyeneyin a member of the Advisory Group on Technology and Creativity in 2018.The Future Awards Africa nominated Kola Oyeneyin as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.
Kola is also the Founder and Convener of GenVoices, a non-partisan group launched in January 2012 via a telethon to prepare youth for political engagement.Kola mobilised and led a section of the Occupy Nigeria movement in Lagos. In 2010, Kola founded Sleeves Up, a youth empowerment foundation, through which he led Nigeria’s first Youth-Led Presidential Debate (2011) and Register/Vote Campaigns.
