Let’s Meet Aminka Belvitt

Aminka Belvitt is a distinguished international speaker, innovator, humanitarian, mentor, and thought leader, dedicated to empowering women and marginalized communities to become solution creators for the UN 17 Global Goals and catalysts of change in their societies.

She is the driving force behind The ForUsGirls Foundation, which she established in 2015, a Canadian-based international organization committed to providing innovative skills-building, leadership development programs, mentorships, and scholarships for Black girls, young women, and gender-diverse marginalized youth.

In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, Aminka is a trailblazer in the tech industry as the Founder & CEO of Wofemtech Solutions Inc., a pioneering web and video conferencing platform launched in 2020, headquartered in Waterloo, ON.

Her groundbreaking work has garnered recognition from esteemed institutions such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which honored her as a Goalkeeper in 2019, alongside accolades from the Canadian Consulate in New York City and the YWCA Montreal, where she was hailed as Entrepreneur of the Year.

Since 2016, Aminka has served as a UN Women Champion of Change, One Young World Ambassador, and Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, further solidifying her status as a driving force for positive change on the global stage. Through her charitable initiatives, she has positively impacted over 10,000 young women and girls across Canada, the United States, and Jamaica.

With a background in business and marketing strategy, technical project management, and a professional development diploma from Columbia University Business School in 2017, Aminka brings a wealth of expertise to her role as a Senior Consultant at Belvitt Consulting Inc., where she specializes in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Innovative Leadership.

Born in Trelawny, Jamaica, and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Aminka pursued her education at the University of Ottawa and Concordia University, embodying a commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. Her unwavering belief in empowering women and girls with the necessary resources and opportunities to effect positive change underscores her dedication to creating a better world for all.
