Meet Summy Smart Francis

Summy Smart Francis is a Nigerian entrepreneur based in South Africa, currently serving as the President of Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs, where he directs strategy and its implementation.

He embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at a remarkably young age of 14, gaining early business experience at his father’s hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. By 17, he was entrusted with managing one of its branches, Mullard Hotel, further honing his business acumen and management skills.

Through his own path to entrepreneurial success, Mr. Francis encountered challenges such as limited capital and networks. These experiences ignited his passion to establish Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs, driven by a mission to empower others facing similar obstacles.

He possesses deep knowledge in investments and provides a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs across Africa. His keen understanding of risk has guided him to invest in numerous businesses globally.

In 2008, he founded the Alien Rights Organization, dedicated to advising and safeguarding the rights of foreigners in foreign countries. He is also actively involved with charity organizations focused on youth development.

Recognized for his persistence, determination, self-confidence, and creativity, Mr. Francis has successfully founded and led enterprises.

He currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Investor of SSF Investments and holds non-Executive Director positions on several corporate boards.

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Francis is a philanthropist and writer. He holds a degree in Computer Science and a diploma in Art Direction/Copywriting from the AAA School of Advertising, along with various other professional qualifications. His multifaceted background underscores his commitment to business excellence, advocacy, and community engagement.
