Gwen Abiola is the Founder and CEO of DI Africa, an advisory firm that empowers businesses to achieve sustainable growth through capital raising, trade and investment facilitation.
With a successful banking career behind her, Gwen transitioned from her role as CEO of a pan-African bank in Benin Republic to become the Regional Investment Director at GroFin. In this capacity, she spearheaded SME development in West Africa and managed five funds focused on high-impact sectors.
Her expertise spans business strategy, startups, business transformation, global partnerships, business development, fundraising, gender advocacy, and foreign direct investment facilitation. She is a passionate advocate for female empowerment and entrepreneurship, providing mentorship to female-led businesses. Gwen has forged significant partnerships with development organizations supporting women-led enterprises.
Active in the impact investing ecosystem, Gwen serves on the National Advisory Board of Impact Investing in Nigeria and holds a certificate in Sustainable Finance from The Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership, UK (CISL). She is a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria and has contributed her expertise to federal committees in Nigeria and Benin Republic, as well as advisory roles on international boards.
