She is Melody Stephen…

Melody Stephen is the UK Y7 Head Delegate for Innovation and Digital Transformation. She is a Law with International Studies graduate, currently training to become a lawyer.

Melody previously served as General Secretary of the University of Manchester Students’ Union and was a member of the Board of Governors at the University of Manchester.

A passionate advocate for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Higher Education, she has worked closely with local policymakers in Manchester to combat the rise in sexual violence and spiking, while also advocating for improved mental health and neurodiversity provisions within the education sector.

As a law student, she has championed these same values as President of Urban Lawyers North and currently as Head of Mini Pupillage at Bridging the Bar—both organizations focused on tackling underrepresentation in the legal profession.

Dedicated to driving strategic change for young people, Melody has served as a Director on the Board of the National Union of Students and currently sits on the boards of UCAS, UCAS Media, and the British Youth Council.

She is eager to leverage her experience at this critical time for young people in the UK, with a policy track that reflects her passion for creating meaningful conversations and change for young people both domestically and internationally.

Congratulations!!
