Souleymane Diarrassouba

Souleymane Diarrassouba currently serves as the Minister of Commerce and Industry for the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.

His career prior to joining the government in January 2017 was marked by significant accomplishments in the banking sector.

He held the position of Managing Director at the Atlantic Business International Group, overseeing the financial, control, and development activities of the Atlantic Bank and its insurance entities across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Mr. Diarrassouba’s expertise in banking led to his appointment as President of the Federations of Banks of the West African Monetary and Economic Union and President of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Establishments of Côte d’Ivoire.

He also served as Vice-President of the Ivorian Employers’ Association, showcasing his leadership in the financial and business sectors.

Prior to his current role as Minister of Commerce and Industry, he held positions within the Ivorian government, including Minister of Trade, Crafts, and Small and Medium-Enterprise Promotion, as well as Minister of Industry and Mining.

His diverse experience in both the private and public sectors underscores his deep commitment to advancing economic growth and development initiatives in Côte d’Ivoire.
