Ambassador Albert M. Muchanga currently serves as the Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission.

Prior to this role, he held the position of Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Office overseeing Parliamentary Affairs in Zambia. He also served as Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia with additional accreditation to the African Union.

Ambassador Muchanga has been a prominent figure in various Pan-African and international conferences, where he has been a Guest of Honor and Speaker. His engagements have covered topics such as African economic integration, multilateral trade negotiations, globalization, youth and women empowerment, sustainable development, as well as management and leadership.
