Femi Balogun is a researcher and Impact expert. His work contributes broadly to implementing development projects, advancing evidence for development policy making and supporting knowledge production in Higher Education Institutions, with a track record of setting up M&E departments in NGOs and Think Tanks in parts of Africa.
Over the years ‘Femi’s work has supported program evaluation, development communication, knowledge production and evidence based policy engagement on projects and programmes in collaboration with development partners including the MasterCard Foundation, Ford Foundation, INCLUDE, Citi Foundation, Hewlett Packard Foundation, with foot prints in parts of Africa – Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Angola, Rwanda and South Africa.
His thematic area of work includes, Youth Transitions, Labour Market and Skills Gap Analysis, Police Reform, Job Creation in Agriculture and Agro-processing, Social Protection, Social Innovation, New forms of Social and political Action, Urban Governance as well as Evidence for Policy Uptake.
‘Femi holds a Masters degree in Security, Leadership and Society from the prestigious King’s College London, a Masters degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos, and a BSc in International Relations from Covenant University. He is an alumni of the African Leadership Centre (ALC) Nairobi/UK, a 2015 fellow at the International Peace Institute (IPI) New York, and a member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
