Ralph Mupita assumed the role of Group President and CEO of MTN Group on September 1, 2020.

Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of MTN Group starting from April 2017.

Before joining MTN, Ralph held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Old Mutual Emerging Markets, where he spearheaded the provision of financial services across 19 countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

With a wealth of experience spanning engineering, construction, financial services, and telecommunications, Ralph has played a significant role in MTN’s journey.

He has been instrumental in fortifying the Group’s financial standing, formulating strategic initiatives, and overseeing successful listings of MTN subsidiaries in Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Uganda. Ralph has also been at the forefront of executing MTN Group’s current strategy, Ambition 2025.
