He has played a pivotal role in the tech community, founding several tech organizations not only in Algeria but also across the Maghreb Region.
Oualid’s trajectory took a remarkable turn when, at the age of 26, he assumed the role of Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, making him the youngest minister in Algeria’s history.
In his capacity as Minister, Oualid is dedicated to crafting a regulatory framework conducive to entrepreneurship and startups, while also championing innovative financial mechanisms to support emerging talents.
Beyond his national responsibilities, Oualid is a passionate Pan-Africanist, advocating for greater economic integration, particularly within the technology sector.
