
Jean De Dieu Uwihanganye, a Rwandan Engineer and Politician, currently holds the position of high commissioner of Rwanda to Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand since July 2019, and he has been serving as ambassador to Indonesia since May 2023. He resides in Singapore.
Prior to his diplomatic roles, from August 2017 to July 2019, he served as Minister of State for Transport in the Rwanda Ministry of Infrastructure within the Cabinet of Rwanda.
Before his ministerial appointment, Jean De Dieu worked as the director of business planning and development at NPD Ltd, a construction company in Rwanda, from January 2016 to July 2017.
An Engineer by training, Jean De Dieu achieved first-class honors for both his graduate and postgraduate degrees.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the National University of Rwanda and a master’s degree in construction project management from the University of Manchester in England.
Additionally, between January 2014 and August 2017, Jean De Dieu served as a part-time lecturer for project management courses at the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK).
