Meet Iyinoluwa Aboyeji

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji is the CEO and Co-founder of Flutterwave, a global payments technology company connecting Africa to the global digital economy with payments infrastructure that helps financial institutions and businesses build more seamless and secure payments experiences for their customers. Founded in 2016 by a team of African payments, technology and banking veterans from Standard Bank, Google Wallet, Andela and Paypal amongst others, Flutterwave has grown to be one of the fastest growing payments technology companies in the world.

Since inception Flutterwave has processed close to $2 billion in payments across 25 million transactions in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa and has attracted significant investment from experienced players in the global payments arena such as Y Combinator (investors in Stripe), Greycroft (investors in Braintree), Greenvisor Capital, Omidyar Network and Glynn Capital amongst others. In 2017, Flutterwave was named Africa’s Best Fintech Company by AppsAfrica.

Prior to helping to co-found and lead Flutterwave, Iyinoluwa co-founded Andela – Africa’s largest engineering organization with over 500 software engineers which has received investment from Mark Zuckerberg and Google Ventures amongst others.

Iyinoluwa who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree and a member of Nigeria’s Industrial Policy and Competitiveness Advisory Council.
