Robert Taiwo serves as the Managing Director of Phillips Consulting (pcl.), a prominent indigenous professional services firm in West Africa.

Before assuming this position, he held several senior executive roles across Europe in global investment banking and management consulting, specializing in strategy, business transformation, innovation, and technology.

Throughout his career, Rob has collaborated with major clients in various sectors including financial services, private equity, FMCG, oil & gas, and the public sector.

Notably, he designed one of the first innovation ecosystems for a State Government in Africa. This framework facilitated connections among entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and government policymakers to foster the creation, development, and commercialization of new ideas, products, and services.

As a respected thought leader, Rob frequently shares his insights at panels and conferences across Africa. His groundbreaking articles and research, which explore future regional business trends, have been nationally published.

Additionally, he conducts a ‘Disruptive Leadership‘ masterclass, providing senior business executives, entrepreneurs, and politicians with strategies for driving transformative growth in their respective fields.

Rob’s educational background includes a law degree from the University of Bedfordshire, an MBA from Warwick Business School, and attendance at Harvard Business School’s Venture & Private Equity Program.

He is a distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute in the United Kingdom and a guest lecturer at leading Business Schools.
