Presently, he holds the esteemed position of Commissioner for Science and Technology, following his prior role as Special Adviser on Innovation and Technology to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

With a richly diverse background, Mr. Alake has honed expertise in Product Management, Business Intelligence, Application Development, and Business Development across Telecoms, Media, and Entertainment domains.

Throughout his professional journey, he has been pivotal in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing a spectrum of enterprise applications that have significantly elevated operational efficiency and customer experience within these industries.

Mr. Alake’s career highlights include serving as General Manager of Information Technology & Innovation at Film House Cinemas, where he spearheaded technology-driven initiatives within the entertainment sector. Additionally, he excelled as Head of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics at IPNX Nigeria Limited, driving data-centric decision-making processes.

Educationally, Mr. Alake holds a Master of Business Administration (General Management) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Science, both from Temple University in Philadelphia, P.A.
