She is Marcia Ashong

Marcia Ashong is a celebrated social entrepreneur and leading voice on corporate governance and gender diversity.

She has launched and scaled ventures that seek to catalyze Africa’s vast talent and capitalize on its vast resources including TheBoardroom Africa, the continent’s largest regional community for female executives, whose mission is accelerate the appointment of women to boards.

A noted energy expert, she has held senior roles in the energy industry for industry titans like Baker Hughes and consulted on energy policy among others.

Marcia holds an LLM from the University of Dundee, an LLB from the University of Exeter and a BA from the University of Minnesota. She is an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow, and has been named one of New African Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Africans, one of Ghana’s 20 Top Under 40 business leaders, as well as one of the Top 50 Women in Management in Africa.
