Ebenezer Puplampu is the Chief People Officer, at Mercy Ships Organization.

He leads the charge to position the HR function globally federated  towards the realization of Mercy Ships’ Global Strategic objective of serving Africans by effectively using the 2-ship platform to provide direct surgical care and building best-in-class medical capacity in partnership with the African Healthcare Community.

Prior to this he worked at Azusa Pacific University as an Adjunct Professor whose role was researching, designing, and teaching graduate students courses in Leadership and Industrial/Organization Psychology. His approach as a scholar-practitioner was to bring a unique perspective to his students.

It included a collaboratory learning process that balanced sound theoretical undergird and practical professional application in a learning environment that affirms the worth of each student’s “Imago Dei”

He also worked at World Vision by leading the setup and running of the Global HR Operational Effectiveness Team for the Global HR Team.

The sub-teams in this group included HR Systems, Process Engineering & Global Project Management, Change Readiness & Communications, Strategic Workforce Planning & Analytics, Payroll, and Global People Helpdesk & Generalists. The successful RFP, acquisition, and implementation of the first phase of Workday (transition from Meta4 to Workday) and its associated team and vendor relationships management is an example of the pieces of work that he led the team to accomplish.
