Nate Araya is a multi-talented individual, excelling as a digital storyteller, educator, and entrepreneur.
His work spans the realms of culture, content, commerce, and community, making a significant impact in these areas. Currently employed as a full-time Community Engagement Specialist at Adobe, Nate dedicates himself to empowering the next generation of creators by providing accessible tools for their meaningful journey towards impactful work.
In addition to his role at Adobe, Nate also served as a Professor of Marketing for a period of five years. During this time, he delivered lectures on various subjects, including marketing, digital marketing, sales, advertising, entrepreneurship, and business ethics. He further contributed to the academic community as a guest lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he shared his insights on the importance of diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
Nate’s commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms is evident through his involvement as an Advisory Board member and Contributor for the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the African Union. His focus lies in protecting and promoting these rights, striving for recognition, justice, and development for individuals of African descent globally.
In the realm of filmmaking, Nate has achieved remarkable success. He is an award-winning director at SXSW and has been nominated for an African Movie Academy Award. His impactful contributions have been acknowledged by publications such as the Huffington Post, which noted his role in “changing the face of international development.”
Adding to his diverse pursuits, Nate is a passionate coffee enthusiast who has established his own coffee brand called Ground Zero Coffee. Ground Zero, an East African coffee company, not only offers exceptional coffee but also operates as a podcast service that promotes community empowerment through education, storytelling, and social enterprise.
