Amma Aboagye is the Founding Curator, Afropole. She is a creative and dynamic intrapreneur whose work sits at the intersection of international development, innovation and culture.
She has over ten years of experience designing and coordinating global projects that enrich the lives of vulnerable populations while bolstering performance and success capacity for international and local organizations.
Her skills using blogs, radio and podcasts have been leveraged around the world to promote learning and innovation within organizations. She uses human-centered design approaches to make evidence informed decisions that ensure positive development outcomes.
Below are her professional highlights;-
-Created and managed the inaugural, three-day Wax Print Fest during Ghana’s Year of Return, which attracted over 600 people globally and raised over $10,000 in partnerships and sponsorships
– Co-hosted, co-created and co-produced over 50 episodes of two hour ‘infotainment’ youth empowerment radio programming with over 100 different guests from various entrepreneurial ecosystems.
– Developed a mission wide Learning Agenda made available to both internal teams and implementing partners complete with handbook, intranet and training/ facilitation support to teams and activities.
– Led the implementation of a Mission Wide Agency Alignment initiative to analyze mission portfolio, synthesize areas of alignment and divergence from agency policies, and re-orient three portfolios to reflect changes and introduced Ted Talk and Davos style presentations for greater engagement and interaction.
– Co-managing, Local Works, a $6 million program providing strategic business consulting, to improve sustainable performance of regional and national private sector associations across West Africa through capacity development, grants, and technical assistance as support tools.
