Mbolatiana Raveloarimisa

Mbolatiana Raveloarimisa is  an activist, militant for social justice and human rights. She is also a columnist for the largest newspaper in Madagascar and  a lecturer at the University of Antananarivo.

She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Geography. She is currently doing a Master II in Human Rights.Professionally, is the Senior Executive Manager of the Coalition of Radios for Peace, which includes more than two hundred radio stations in Madagascar.

She is involved in several movements and organizations in her country and in Africa. Mbolatiana is the founding president of the association Autisme Madagascar (defense of the rights of people with disabilities, particularly mental disabilities), one of the founders of the Nifin’Akanga movement, a pro-choice feminist movement fighting for the legalization of abortion in Madagascar, and founder of the movement for difference which defends the rights of people living with a difference, particularly people with albinism.

On the regional level, she is past president of the Pole autisme Océan Indien. She is also one of the founders of the Pan-African movement “Afrikki” which gathers about twenty citizen movements in Africa.

For her feminist commitments she has received several threats, pressures and intimidations. She has received several awards for her actions in favour of social inclusion and the protection of sexual and reproductive rights of African women. Proud mother of 4 children including a young autistic 12 years old, her motto is to build a better tomorrow for all children regardless of their differences.
