Meet Omawumi Ogbe…

Omawumi Ogbe is the President, Life Coaches Association of Nigeria.

She is also a Managing Partner at one of Nigeria’s fastest growing PR & Communications agencies, GLG Communications. A certified coach, trainer, keynote speaker and show host, Ogbe works with individuals and organizations to achieve their communication goals, building bigger and better brands across Africa.

A graduate of Applied Microbiology and Brewing, Ogbe professionally got into the Media industry when she worked for two years at the African Broadcasting Network (ABN). Here, she was rotated to lead the Programs and Production departments.

She had an impactful stint as Programs Scheduling Officer where she succeeded in creating better communication channels between the Network and the Play-out Center in London, planned programs that improved viewership and subsequent advertising.

Having worked and gained field experiences in varying industries such as Advertising, Broadcasting, Healthcare, Internet Publishing and more, Ogbe doesn’t just think outside the box, she believes that there is no box.

She holds a post-graduate degree in Media and Communications from the Pan-Atlantic University Lagos, where she was overall best graduating student. She works with individuals and corporate brands to not only improve their communication strategy and execution, but also enjoys creating and overseeing projects from conception to delivery.

She is also the founder and Editor-in-Chief at GLAZIA – a lifestyle digital magazine that tells authentic African and global stories.

A TEDx speaker, Ogbe is a Certified Life Coach with studies in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Emotional Intelligence and utilizes her knowledge and experience to coach individuals and organizations to discover and communicate their true identity.

In March 2019, Ogbe was honored with the Coaching Icon Award for her work in coaching and media, having consistently worked behind the scenes over the years to push the coaching narrative in Nigeria.

She serves as executive member of congress and head of PR, Branding and Communications at the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN)and was listed alongside other leaders in the 2017 Charles O’Tudor Brands to Watch list.
