She is Abril Muvimbi

Abril Muvimbi is an Italian, Congolese and Zambian.

She graduated in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs at the University of Bologna (BA) and in International Cooperation on Human Rights and Intercultural heritage with a curriculum in Protection of Human Rights (MA).

She is passionate about politics and the world of international relations, in particular relations between Africa and Europe. She is an activist and advocate for the rights of People of African descent, using her voice to denounce discrimination and racism.

For her engagement in fighting against racism, she was selected as A.F.A.R. (Afro-descendant Fighting Against Racism) by AMREF for the project CHAMPS.

In 2020, she was selected for the program Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network by the German Marshall Fund of Washington DC and in 2022, she was selected for the Fellowship Programme for People of African Descent by the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
